About SMX LATAM
SMX Latin America is a business unit of the Codinter Organization. This website aims to inform about the products of the Steelmax and Scotchman brands, which have now merged under the SMX brand.
Additionally, it provides information about the distributors of both brands in the Latin American market. This website is not for direct sales. If you would like a quotation for any of the Steelmax or Scotchman equipment, please contact us and one of our representatives will direct you to the nearest distributor.
About Steelmax
Steelmax began operations in 2003 with a premium line of metal cutting saws and magnetic drills. These tools and consumables were Steelmax’s primary focus until 2010. That year it began expanding the product line to encompass more aspects of metal fabrication, such as sheet and tube beveling and welding automation solutions.
About Scotchman
In 1956 Arthur Kroetch started Art’s Salvage in his hometown of Philip, South Dakota. This was the beginning of Scotchman. Today, their world-famous ironworkers are still made in the same place. Scotchman focus on manufacturing quality machines that can be passed down from generation to generation. Recently, Scotchman has become part of the SMX groupd of brands and is open to internacional markets.
